Smart E-Learning, AI and STEAM Education Programme in Tamilnadu
Through its Smart E-Learning Centres, ACT India Foundation equips rural adolescent girls with access to quality digital education, Artificial Intelligence (AI) literacy, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) learning, and essential life skills. The centres provide structured learning experiences delivered by trained teachers and technical instructors, enabling first-generation learners to build confidence in science, technology, computer applications, and emerging digital technologies. The programme introduces girls to AI tools, digital problem-solving, responsible technology use, coding fundamentals, and future-ready skills that prepare them for an increasingly technology-driven world. It also actively engages parents and communities to prevent school dropouts and early marriages, while encouraging families to support girls’ continued education and career aspirations. By bridging the digital divide, fostering scientific curiosity, and expanding access to AI-enabled learning opportunities, the initiative empowers adolescent girls to pursue higher education, explore careers in emerging sectors, and become confident leaders of tomorrow. The programme ultimately aims to build a generation of educated, digitally empowered, and future-ready young women across rural Tamil Nadu.
